		<description>Good post Richard.  I did some math on this topic because the planning committee has kept one eye on the price of gas as we've progressed through the last year and one half.

With some assumptions:  a 300-mile each way drive (about a six-hour drive) for a total of 600 miles driven round trip, and a Triumph that gets 25 MPG, and last an increase in fuel per gallon of $1.20 as you indicate, the increased cost for a person driving to the event in their TR would be $28.80.  That's all!

I think there is a huge psychological barrier to that $4 per gallon mark and that indeed may have influenced some in their decision to not attend.</description>
